We are The Seattle Metropolitan Singers

Nothing but Trebel;)

  • The Music

The Mets’ repertoire blends classical and contemporary choral works, with selections ranging from traditional sacred pieces to modern compositions. In recent seasons, they’ve performed works like Sarah Quartel’s She Sang the Stars, pieces by Rene Clausen and Z. Randall Stroope, and modern arrangements—including a choral treatment of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide.”

  • Artistic Leadership

Directed by Laurie de Leonne (formerly Laurie Betts Hughes), The Met is guided by an experienced choral conductor committed to building community through music. Their collaborative pianist, Nathan (Natha) Shiu, is a well-known local music educator based in Bellevue.

  • Sing with Us

The Met is an adult treble choir (soprano and alto voice parts), open to singers from across the gender spectrum. While previous choral experience is welcomed, placements are relaxed and inclusive, welcoming both seasoned and newer singers. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm in West Seattle’s Fauntleroy neighborhood. 2025’s Fall season started Tuesday August 5th, we are still welcoming new members.
